Packaging and Delivery

At our Sysen Road plant, our pallets are packed using different configurations for the different products. Once packed to the required quantity, the pallets of pavers are securely wrapped using a high-quality 15 micron wrapping plastic. The use of this plastic, as well as a tension-stressed strap at the foot of the pallet, help to ensure an extremely secure product.

At the Rand Road plant, we employ a different means of packaging. This includes the vertical strapping of every row of the pavers in a stack as well as two horizontal straps around the pallet. The strapping is applied using a 15.5mm wide by 0.6mm thick PET strapping.

Each strap has a 400kg breaking strain (more than adequate when you consider that there is a maximum of 277kg of pavers per row). This means of strapping enables us to have a vastly superior packaged product as we are the only company in the Western Cape currently who are able to package pallets in this way.

The plastic which we use around some of these pallets has nothing to do with the securing of the pallets, but rather to hold the C.E.L. pallet poster – your sign of quality!

Our newly signaged trucks will be visible to all while transporting C.E.L.’s pavers.
