About the CEL Paving Company

C.E.L. Paving Products is a family owned and operated business which was founded in June 1994. We began manufacturing concrete bricks and blocks and were situated in Kensington, Cape Town. After approximately 18 months, a gap became apparent for high quality concrete paving products. A decision was taken to concentrate the company's efforts on the manufacture and sales of concrete pavers, with the brick and block side of the business becoming a side line. During July 1996, a new paving plant was commissioned and the manufacture of concrete bricks and blocks ceased altogether.

Specialty paving products have since been developed by Rocha Formed Stone which are manufactured and marketed by C.E.L. Paving Products in the Western Cape, and by Mobicast in the Southern Cape.

CEL- Sysen Road Head Office

In December 1997, the factory was moved to a new facility in Sysen Road, Blackheath Industria, where it is situated today. New handling and processing equipment was introduced to refine quality even further and to increase production to serve rising demand for the company's products. This plant is where our offices are situated and where we continue our R&D on new products, as well as the manufacture of our more specialized ranges.

CEL - Rand Road Plant

In June 2005, we commissioned a second paving plant in Rand Road, Blackheath. This new, fully automated plant has since resulted in us being at the forefront in dry pressed concrete paving in the Western Cape, both in terms of our manufacturing, and packaging capabilities.
